Our client, a Distribution/Importing organization, is looking for an Accounting & Finance Manager to join their team. This is a hands on, full cycle accounting position with a small company and small accounting department.

Our client is looking for an Accounting & Finance Manager with a proven track record of managing a small accounting and administrative team while overseeing daily accounting activities and driving company strategy for increased profitability.

As the Accounting & Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing and overseeing all aspects of daily activities in the financial/accounting area

Developing and maintaining an adequate system of accounting controls to enhance the accuracy of operations, forecasting, budgeting, costing, expense and inventory

Providing consolidated statements; periodic financial and analysis reports

Treasure and cash management support, along with all reporting to include costing, shipping, warehouse, and strategizing

Nurturing external relationships such as external accounting firm, banking, and customers

Partaking and advising in important business negotiations, and/or meetings

Establishing and improving financial and operational policies to ensure reported results comply with GAAP or international financial reporting standards; as well as legal and regulatory requirements

Overseeing Administrative functions including working with the outsourced Human Resources vender with one direct report (AP)

Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or business administration; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred

Business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience

Strong experience in IT and establishing processes for growth

Comfort in performing both hands-on accounting and strategy work

Experience planning and formulating an organization’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

Successful implementation of strategic business plans and developing financial and tax strategies

Ability to manage capital request and budgeting processes

Costing/cost accounting experience in a distribution environment

Management experience

General HR knowledge
