Kenton Animal Hospital is seeking a part time veterinary receptionist with the option to move to full time as the practice grows. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a hospital from the beginning. This start up will be opening this December and our ideal candidate will grow with the hospital. Our hours will be 9am - 6pm Mon-Fri and 9am - 1pm on Saturday. We are looking for someone with prior veterinary experience and a positive attitude is a must. We want to develop a collaborative, happy work place and developing that culture from the beginning is very important to our mission. We are located in the up and coming North Portland neighborhood of Kenton within a block to the park and across the street from Prince Coffee, Bamboo Craftsman, and new food carts. We are an integrative practice; which means we will be using both Eastern and Western modalities. Experience in naturopathic medicine is a plus but not necessary. We are a cloud-based hospital with a focus on green-options. Kenton Animal Hospital wants to encourage a life-work balance and promote wellness for employees as well as our clients and patients. Benefit package will grow with the practice and wages are commensurate with experience. We offer paid time off, discounted pet care, paid holidays, uniform allowance, and CE opportunities.

Job Requirements

Primary responsibility is communication. Must be able to efficiently and compassionately answer phones and communicate with clients for scheduling, patient check-in, and discharge. The perfect fit for our hospital will be skilled at handling multiple phone lines, well-organized with office/hospital flow, and exceptional attention to detail. Must be comfortable using/learning a cloud-based practice management system. Compassion and a sense of humor are required.
