Technical Assistance Coordinator

Program Description: The National Alliance for Safe Housing (NASH), a project of the District Alliance for Safe Housing, is a national Technical Assistance and Training project. NASH’s overall goal is to ensure that survivors of domestic and sexual violence have access to a full range of housing options as they seek to establish homes that are safe and independent. In alliance with advocates, survivors and leaders on the local, state and national level, NASH provides programs and communities with the tools, strategies and support necessary to improve coordination between domestic and sexual violence services, and homeless and housing providers, so that survivors and their children can ultimately avoid homelessness as the only means of living free from abuse.

Report to: NASH Project Director

Responsibilities: The Technical Assistance (TA) Coordinator is responsible for:

• Coordinating all logistics for NASH meetings, trainings, webinars, web conferences and events
• Assisting in the creation of educational materials for print and electronic distribution
• Maintaining NASHs listserv and website
• Coordinating design and layout of all technical assistance materials and communications
• Coordinating technical assistance requests internally and externally and tracking requests
• Other program-related and administrative duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Significant knowledge of or experience with website management and communications technologies
• Strong communication and/or marketing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Access
• Book keeping experience or experience with QuickBooks a plus
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Sound judgment and professionalism
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Experience in publication design preferred
• Experience in non-profit settings preferred
• Strong commitment to social justice issues and experience working with violence against women issues and/or housing a plus
• A good sense of humor a must

While this position will work in close proximity to the Director and Technical Assistance Specialist, this is a job that will be done remotely in the quiet, non-chaotic environment of the employee’s choice. Access to high speed internet is a necessity.
