Chief Medical Info Officer for a
1.0 full time equivalent

Day shift with shift durations of
Leads the planning and implementation of information systems used in the clinical environment and facilitate the clinical enterprise strategic plan. Serves as strategic and tactical leader for clinical systems initiatives across the enterprise which encompasses physician practice plans. Champions and provides leadership for the implementations, advancement and optimization of any new clinical IS systems, as well as support the existing EMR platforms. Responsible for supporting the development, implementation and use of clinical information system to assist caregivers/providers in the delivery of the highest quality and most appropriate patient care.
:Leads and/or participates on clinical and process improvement teams to provide broad:based input into the optimization of the clinical information system. Organizes and leads clinician advisory groups as needed to optimize clinical information systems to support excellence in patient care
:Engages caregivers with varying roles including physicians, nursing practitioners, nursing staff, ancillary department personnel, medical office staff, and medical records professionals to contribute to the development and use of the clinical information system.
:Constantly assesses caregiver needs and workflows, including training and support, to assure wide spread acceptance and optimal use of the clinical systems.
:Reviews clinical informatics trends, experiences and approaches, develops technical and application implementation strategies and leads the development of strategic plans for future clinical information systems.
:Leads and facilitates key clinical leadership groups in the creation of required clinical contents, protocols, workflows and related system usage policies.
:Leads design of clinical pathway models with physician, nursing, medical group, and administrative leadership, and assists in modification of these models to gain maximum efficacy and support for patient care.
:Works in collaboration with Clinical leadership group to develop technology:related policies, procedures, standards and methodologies supporting patient care as well as other considerations to leverage the clinicians' time and maximize communication with affiliates and referring physicians.
:Provides leadership to wider organization practices serving population health improvement initiatives.
:Oversees data governance by identifying and addressing critical data quality management issues and monitoring and improving quality data.
:Acts as an advocate for the protection of patient privacy and the security of PHI, and supports various regulatory compliance activities including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and Billing compliance.
:Builds relationships with physicians, leaders, nursing and other ancillary caregivers to gain support of information technology initiatives.
:Works in collaboration with the Directors of Informatics, senior leaders, and end:users across the organization to develop strategies, plans, technology:related policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies supporting patient care and maintain alignment of clinical informatics strategy with other PeaceHealth strategic objectives.
:Performs other duties as required or assigned.
:Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy from accredited US program required
:10 years' experience in clinical informatics in a leadership position required
:Current or prior board certification in a recognized clinical specialty required
