General Purpose 13;
The learning and development specialist (Training Specialist) acts as the key contact for training and facilitation needs for PacifiCorp employees, focusing on employees in Portland, but also including employees in Washington, Northern California and other parts of Oregon. This professional will facilitate, design, develop and deliver training solutions to address organizational business issues. The learning and development specialist will design and develop and facilitate leadership and employee development programs. This professional will provide instruction and support to management teams and will partner with leaders to provide a broad range of learning and development opportunities focused on increasing performance and capabilities.

Responsibilities 13;
Provide advice and counsel to areas throughout the organization to clarify and diagnose training:related issues and problems.
Evaluate training initiatives and assesses applicability and effectiveness of e:learning solutions..
Support, promote, and assist in facilitation of leadership development programs and conferences.
Facilitate instructor:led trainings to professional employees of all levels on various topics to promote the professional development and career development of all employees. Sample topics: leadership best practices, leading high performance teams, interpersonal communication, accountability
Design and deliver effective training utilizing adult learning techniques and multiple delivery formats; including classroom, webinars and coaching.
Demonstrate excellent presentation and facilitation skills in both formal and informal settings
Perform needs assessments and gap analyses.
Remain current on adult learning trends, assessment methodologies, content and research pertaining to successful professional development programs. 13;
Requirements 13;
:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education; or related field or equivalent work experience.
:A minimum of four years of experience in curriculum and instructional design.
:Experience delivering programs and training in the classroom.
:Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
:Knowledge of web:based applications, on:line learning and performance management systems.
:Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.
:Effective oral and written communication skills.
:Effective analytical and problem:solving skills.
:Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
:Ability to travel as needed to deliver training programs. 13;

* Advanced experience in delivering, developing and implementing leadership development, employee engagement and accountability, team:building and conflict resolution programs.
