Manager CMS Reporting for a

Manages the coordination of the activities of a business unit or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing. Manages operational performance, quality, service environment and regulatory compliance. Responsible to monitor CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) rules and regulations as pertains to hospitals and ambulatory medical practice and inform key stakeholders of changes. Partners on behalf of PeaceHealth with regulatory agencies and States as necessary to meet requirements for state reporting. Supports the system wide quality management system with appropriate standardize performance monitoring throughout the organization. Leads and manages the analytic strategy for submission to all external regulatory entities at the local, State and Federal levels, ensuring that all financial incentives can be met and penalties avoided for PeaceHealth System Wide. Responsible for oversight of reporting for state and federal programs related to Electronic Data transmission e.g. Meaningful Use. Implements practices that ensure data integrity and timely data submissions of incentive programs, insurance contracts and required reporting.
1.Develops, and oversees highly efficient system:wide quality data abstraction including data collection, data submission, and data integrity practices in support of the strategic clinical improvement priorities of the organization.
Manages operational performance including quality, service environment and regulatory compliance within assigned areas. Applies expert knowledge of regulatory requirements for inpatient and outpatient PeaceHealth programs in communicating with senior leaders and key stakeholders regulatory changes, concerns and deficiencies.
2.Leads strategy to consolidate and standardize data registries across PeaceHealth outpatient services as appropriate and establishes business need for existing and new registries to enable senior leadership decision making.
3.Develops, supports and oversees a standard performance monitoring from CareConnect data registries and public reporting using CareConnect capabilities to it's fullest potential. Partners with IST in development of Business Intelligence requirements and reports to support the quality management system throughout the organization.
4.Partners with Analytic Specialists to provide data support for the community's ongoing quality management system through their quality assessment and performance improvement plans (QAPI).
5.Directs a team of subject matter expert technical staff to assure adherence to standard data definitions, data integrity practices, and data submission timelines to promote highly accurate, comparable, and actionable information.
6.Establishes implements and maintains a formalized review process for analyzing performance, compliance, shared learning, process improvement and staff development.
7.Ensures all responsibilities are performed consistent with the deliberate plans of the organization; maintains a sensitive, caring and safe environment for customers, caregivers, and others. Ensures operations are within the limits of approved budgets.
8.Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the incumbent with the requisite knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the job.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in a health system.
