We are looking for a dynamic, self:driven team member with experience working in a Manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Cost Analyst will be an integral part of our plant finance team and will work closely with the plant Controller and other plant leadership team members. The Manufacturing Cost Analyst will be responsible for developing and/or maintaining cost accounting and cost tracking activities. Furthermore, this position will develop financial metrics and reporting and will support our Manufacturing leadership in achieving and maintaining targets. This person will have the opportunity to develop his/her unique skills and innovate as well as take on expanded roles to capitalize on his/her potential.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
:Directly report to the plant Controller with ad hoc assignments from Plant Leadership team
:Monthly responsibilities include covering cost studies, BOM variance analysis, overtime trends, Asset controls, Inventory.
:Assist with preparation, processing, and quality of Month End Closing, including SAP transactions, Close Analysis, and corporate file updates
:Be a visible financial leader in an active, factory:floor environment.
:Daily investigation of key success indicators (Losses, Labor, Utilities) and trends.
:Support annual Budget discussions, modeling, preparation, and trends analysis.
:Develop and present Monthly Plant Cost by Cost Center for Area Ownership.
:Monitor Spare Parts Inventory balances and aging reporting per Audit requirements.
:Work cross:functionally with Inventory Coordinators and Operations to understand and mitigate materials losses resulting from manufacturing process.
:Develop cost saving calculation models and present savings opportunities to team.
:Support monitoring of internal controls and assess level of controls.
:Manage Fixed Assets database and New Assets Identification process.
:Improve Finance reporting capability, speed, and accuracy to send clear signals.
:Be accountable for your work and investigate the details behind the analysis.
:Seek opportunities to improve Plant accounting capability and processes
The ideal candidate will have:
:Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance
:At least 2 years experience in Manufacturing:based financial analysis
:Prior experience in a dairy and/or food manufacturing environment (preferred)
:Ability to communicate complicated, complex activity in a clear, fluid manner
