The Software Engineering Intern will work in an agile development team and primarily responsible for designing and developing different components and modules for business applications supporting Intel's supply/demand and forecasting processes. The SEI will participate in each stage of the software development lifecycle and will have following opportunities: Work with business analysts and users to understand business requirements. Translate business requirements into user stories and technical design. Implement user stories for different application types - web, classic desktop, excel. Code software modules using different technologies such as C, ASP.Net, JavaScript, Angular, Node.JS, Express, WPF and T-SQL. Write and execute unit tests using different testing frameworks - MS Unit Test Framework, Mocks, Fakes, Spec Flow, Cucumber Debug and troubleshoot software modules using various debugging tools and utilities. Participate in agile ceremonies - planning meetings, daily standup, retrospective. Get exposure to various roles - Software Architect, UX Engineer, Software Engineer, Business Analyst, System Analyst, Program/Project Manager, Software Quality Engineer. Learn several business domains and how to solve problems with software. As an intern, SEI person will find significant room for growth, develop various skills, and gain work experience in the field of software engineering. The intern will work on cutting edge technologies and will have plenty of opportunities to experiment with new technologies

Basic Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor degree or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or Software Engineering Major
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a scale of 4.0
  • Must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with at-least programming language - C, VB.Net, Java, JavaScript, Python
  • Prior work or project experience in developing or testing enterprise business applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Tools - MS Test Manager, MS Visual Studio, MS TFS, MS VSTS
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, WPF,MVC, ASP.NET
