SUMMARY Adelante Mujeres provides holistic education and empowerment opportunities to low income Latina women and their families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community. The Family Engagement Coordinator reports to the Adult Education Manager. She/he ensures that programs goals are achieved by working collaboratively with the Adult Education Manager, Early Childhood Education (ECE) staff, Chicas Program Family Engagement Coordinator, Director of Education Programs, participants and their families. S/he provides strong and innovative leadership within the Adult Education program, the Education Department, the organization and the community. The ideal candidate will be inspired by and fully committed to Adelante Mujeres' vision and mission, and will represent the organization in a professional manner among partners, community organizations, families and individuals. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Research Based parenting curriculum workshops using high quality facilitation to families in the Adult Education program and in the community. Ensure participants' safety and the delivery of a culturally inclusive program with measureable results. Create promotional materials, recruit, and enroll families for the Adult Education and ECE Programs with support from the organization. Manage Adult Education students' tuition payments and alternative volunteer service. Work in collaboration with Adult Education Manager to plan the class schedule, orientation sessions, evaluations of classes, home visits as needed to families, plan/deliver calendar events and activities. With Adult Education Manager share planning and coordination of weekly Adult student meeting Facilitate Parent and Children Together (PACT) time activities and sessions with families from all ECE classrooms. Work in collaboration with ECE Manager/staff and Adult Education Manager to provide aligned PACT time with parents and children from all classrooms. Facilitate Family Service Learning projects with families from all ECE and Adult Education Programs. Provide on-going information to parents via memos, home visits, telephone calls and texts, and personal contact; communicate these interactions with appropriate Education Team staff Recruit, enroll and place children in Preschool Promise classrooms in collaboration with Hillsboro School District staff and ECE staff. Keep an updated computer and hard copy record of participants in Adult Education and preschool classrooms. Work in collaboration with Adult Education Manager to update program Strategic Plan goals and in the delivery of plan of action to accomplish these outcomes. Apply safety practices in all facets of the performance of duties and provide emergency services as a Mandatory First Responder. Build, motivate and promote a high-quality program by creating and encouraging a participatory work environment where trust, respect, collaboration, professionalism, teamwork, open communication, and strong work ethic are highly valued. Work with Development Director, Grants Manager and Adult Education Coordinator to fundraise for Adult Education and ECE programs, including soliciting individual and corporate donations and writing and submitting grants and reports. Utilize Adelante Mujeres database system to track Family Engagement activities Ensure an active and timely approach informing Adult Education Manager and working cooperatively to problem solve when issues arise in Adult Education classes. Evaluate her/his own performance and attend appropriate classes, workshops, etc. that will support personal professional development. Participate in monthly meetings of Adult Education and ECE programs. Perform other work related to job or other assigned duties by Adult Education Manager or Director of Education Programs.
