We as educators engage with the child, listen to them, we guide them and respect them as a person. We give them choices to build self confidence and we give them ample time to do things they are capable of such as; putting their coat on and taking their shoes off by themselves. At family-style eating times they learn to serve themselves, they learn manners, how to count, how to pass from left to right and help their classmates with setting the table. We go on daily outings in the community to observe and collect nature, explore our local parks, and stores. We are looking for a developmentally appropriate teachers to join our quality center. Our Co-Teachers Job Description: Plan daily lessons which will include all learning domains of the following: mathematics, science, social/emotional, cognitive, language and literacy, physical development, we implement emergent curriculum, and plan on-going 3-D projects with your Co-Teachers. Curriculum Lessons are incorporated into our daily play. Greet children by their name, greet parents with a smile, show confidence and make eye-contact. Be kind, be mindful and engage with each child as an individual. Supervise and assist with the children with cleanup of themselves. Such as, spills or activities they are involved in, hand washing: before and after going to the bathroom and before and after eating. Type in daily reports during nap time through our software on our iPads. Help make learning visible through our documentation walls with your Co-Teachers. Assist with daily cleaning procedures - including but not limited to - sweeping, swifting, sanitizing toys weekly, organizing room according to children's interests, and cleaning of windows, walls, sterilizing of toys, mats. Must be responsible for attending our yearly 20 hours of teacher training, that we will pay for. Qualifications: State background check/finger printing CPR/First Aid training Food handlers card Child Abuse and Neglect Class 1 yr of experience mandatory Experience with any of the following age groups: Infant, Toddler and Preschool Desired Qualifications: Some college Early Childhood Education (ECE) Child Development Associate (CDA) Company Description: We are a locally owned and operated day care center, with a passion to keep the kids safe, healthy, happy and encourage creativity and give them the skills to have a love for learning.
