DESCRIPTION
The Postpartum Support International (PSI) Membership Development Coordinator is responsible for implementing and processing PSI membership activity, maintaining database, and implementing membership communication. Accepting applications only from candidates in the Portland Oregon area.

The holder of this position reports to the Executive Director of PSI and works collaboratively with all members of the office staff, including the Office Administrator and Development Director; and the Membership Committee Chair on the PSI board, while coordinating the data management and communication process in membership activities. Work will be independent and self-directed, using your own equipment and facility, with weekly work meetings in SW Portland office. This position is a part-time independent contractor position, starting at 15 hours per week, at $20/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PSI Membership Processes for Retention and Recruitment:
Develop and implement membership processes and protocols for current members, growth of new members, strategies to reactivate lapsed members, according to work plan and Board goals
Provide a high level of service and communications to foster strong relationships with current, prospective, and past members
Produce regular weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual membership reports for Executive Director, membership committee, and financial committee
Coordinate membership communications and initiatives with staff
Run ad-hoc reports, as needed
Update membership processes, as needed

Data Management:
Maintain membership constituent records in PSI database, Little Green Light
Ensure constituent information is kept up-to-date and accurate
Follow-up as necessary with program staff to understand data anomalies
Serve as primary contact for trouble-shooting data- & database-related issues
Help integrate data between financial and membership information systems

Membership Development:
Coordinate communication with members
Coordinate and send monthly newsletter
Work with staff and board to keep current information about members and donors
Work with Director of Development to create strategies for member /donor conversions and solicitations to members
Work closely with membership committee, surveying and sharing member insights with staff and Board
Help develop ideas for more tangible benefits and rewards for members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in database management, communications, membership, development, marketing or related fields
Technical skills: CRM systems; Constant Contact; Wordpress; Paypal; Google Drive; Microsoft office
Experience with CRM Little Green Light, preferred
Ability to analyze and synthesize membership data for relevant reports, promotional materials, and grant proposals.
Organized with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Uses discretion and diplomacy
Ability and experience managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently and well
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team
Comfortable in non-profit work environment
Commitment and ability to support and implement the goals and objectives of PSI
