At 3Degrees, our business is our mission. As a certified B Corporation, we connect people with renewable energy on a massive scale providing renewable energy and carbon offset solutions to Fortune 500 companies, utilities, universities, green building firms and other organizations that are working to make their services and operations more sustainable. Join us.

ABOUT YOU

We seek an experienced outside sales manager to oversee our person-to-person residential outreach teams located in a half-dozen regions across the Pacific NW. These teams hold thousands of conversations with residential and small business customers at doorsteps, events, storefront tables, and over the phone each year. Objectives vary by team and program, but typically involve enrolling new participants in utility green power programs and educating residential customers toward actions resulting in more sustainable energy use.

This is a full time position that will be based in our Portland, Oregon office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Manage People: Own objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives. You'll manage Outreach Coordinators ranging from Southern Oregon to Portland to Eastern Washington. The Outreach Coordinators, in turn, manage field teams of varying sizes, typically ranging from 5 to 20 Outreach Associates & Representatives.

* Prioritize: Uphold unimpeachably high standards for safety, customer service, adherence to client brand standards, and accuracy of environmental claims.

* Deliver: Achieve customer enrollment targets within budgets.

* Strategize: Work with stakeholders to plan our outreach approach & budget for ongoing programs and new business opportunities. Cultivate an environment that drives sales objectives for regionally dispersed teams to meet regional goals.

* Collaborate: Integrate our person-to-person outreach tactics with each other and with digital & paper marketing tactics to maximum effect. Work with the IT & outreach operations teams to continually improve our staff trainings, management processes, and data systems.

* Go and see: Embed yourself in outreach efforts -- in person and on the phone.

* Client interface, reporting, and quality control: Ensure accurate reporting of sales activities & results, excellent representation of programs via words & collateral, and, if assigned, work directly with clients to manage or collaborate on outreach-focused programs.

* And more! When relevant, participate in new and evolving projects across a growing company.

WHAT WE'LL NEED FROM YOU

* A minimum of six years of experience managing large sales and/or field teams

* Experience in motivating and mentoring a team of sales managers

* Experience bringing a consistent experience, expectations, and training to staff across various geographic regions, and ensuring they feel like valued team members

* A competitive nature and drive to meet sales targets, while upholding the even-more-important priorities of safety, customer service, and ethical management standards

* Front-line experience with door-to-door, table-based, or phone outreach and/or sales

* Willingness to travel for one to five days at a time, including work some evenings and weekends. Travel calendar will vary, averaging perhaps one trip per month with a concentration in the spring and summer.

* Fluency in G Suite, including Google Sheets

* Experience using CRMs as sales management tools

* Clear and concise verbal and written communication

* Demonstrated interest in energy & the environment, with expertise in those areas preferred

WHAT YOU GET

When you work for us, there's plenty in it for you:

* Company equity, medical, dental and vision benefits, flexPTO, 401(k) with company matching program, health & wellness reimbursement program, cell phone reimbursement and mass transit expense reimbursement program

* A mission-driven B Corp that is committed to a triple bottom line ethic and fostering work-life balance and professional development for its staff
