Northwest Canning has an immediate need for Local Class A Drivers out of Tigard, OR & Surrounding areas We are the Pacific Northwest first mobile canning service. We can beer, cider and wine for local producers. We are looking for an experienced truck driver to transport our trailer and staff, in a safe and timely manner, to and from our various production locations throughout OR, WA and ID. Responsibilities: - Transport our 40ft canning trailer and production crew to and from production sites/warehouse - Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance - Plan routes and meet delivery schedules - Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts and file reports to regulatory bodies - Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures - Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions - Report defects, accidents or violations - Arrange lodging Requirements: - Proven work experience as a truck driver - Ability to drive long hours (maximum 8hrs/day, average 30hrs/week) and travel regularly (average 2 to 3 nights a week away from town). - Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations - No recent moving or driving violations - Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) - Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations To Apply: PLEASE complete the quick app to the right, and if on a mobile device, please complete the application below.
