Chef du Cuisine/ Kitchen Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in running our busy, high end catering company. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Chef in both culinary and administrative tasks.

You must

• Be creative
• Possess an experienced palate
• Be reliable, detail oriented, hard working, self motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be a team player and also be able to work unsupervised.
• Have current Food Handler’s Card

Some Responsibilities of the Chef du Cuisine/Kitchen Manager

• Manage and delegate prep list
• Possess an understanding of and competence in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Assist in designing new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand
• Train new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu
• Manage off-site kitchens, train event chefs
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.

This is a mostly day time position with some off-site event time, averaging 50 hours a week. Salary will be based on experience and skill. We offer health insurance and paid time off.
