Full Time Line Cook

Cafe line cook with breakfast skills (3 openings) line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen. Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines. Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant. Restocks all items as needed throughout shift. Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Manager at any time. Skills: Ability to make scratch sauces, dressings and soups Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, HACCP skills, and food handling procedures. English language and professional communications skills are required. Ability to take direction. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.

. You will have the opportunity to create specials, and showcase your skills. Prepare and stock line for lunch/dinner & cook breakfast a la carte. You will need to possess ability to multi task, exhibit good time management, follow recipes, portion control of meats and seafood. Be able to work independently and in a team environment. Qualified applicants will need a current food handler’s card, proficient knife skills, be confident in their abilities and possess great communication skills. This position is full time 3+ years on the job experience or culinary training with 2+ year's similar experience All positions will require reliable personal transportation, a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
