System Director Revenue Cycle : Hospital Billing for a
1.0 full time equivalent
Exempt position.

JOB SUMMARY
Directs, controls and is accountable for the revenue cycle across the PeaceHealth system under the leadership of the System VP Revenue Cycle. Develops long: and short:term business strategies, operational plans and oversees implementation. Manages the design, structure, development and planning issues within scope of direction. Responsible for quality, service and regulatory compliance for revenue cycle. Accountable and responsible for directing the day to day operational functions of assigned revenue cycle departments and corresponding entities. Maintains and facilitates the continual enhancement of effective and efficient operations of the revenue cycle functions throughout PeaceHeatlh. Provides strategic leadership and day:to:day management for all aspects of revenue cycle including the government, commercial insurance billing processes, denial management, cash posting and t. Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides strategic direction and oversight of Hospital or Medical Group revenue cycle processes, including Billing and Collection and all related functions through quality data, effective policies and efficient procedures within established standards through an awareness of current developments and implementation of a sound and documented system of processing.
2. Leads and manages complex Revenue Cycle projects, working with key stakeholders across PeaceHealth. Coordinates and implements revenue cycle initiatives, including identifying and assembling resources when necessary.
3. Actively monitors operational performance to anticipate and meet the needs of leadership. Maintains revenue cycle KPIs within established industry and/or PeaceHealth standards and instill accountability and ownership at the appropriate level.
4. Fosters a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect for individuals, high standards of quality, customer service, innovation and team work. Fosters strong results orientation by motivating caregivers and holding them accountable to meeting customer needs and organizational goals.
5. Motivates, facilitates, mentors and coaches team to deliver high quality, cost effective services. Facilitates the ongoing learning, well:being, professional satisfaction and development of staff through training, work assignments, increased responsibility and mentoring.
6. Ensures that organizational integrity and regulatory standards are maintained in all Revenue Cycle policies, procedures and processes. Ensure that all team members know and understand their role related to regulatory compliance. Facilitates compliance with administrative/legal requirements and governmental regulations as they relate to Revenue Cycle operations.
7. Identifies opportunities for process improvement, and implements them by engaging stakeholders throughout the organization. Understands interrelationships among systems and process across functional areas to redesign process, improve efficiency, and ensure optimal results.
8. Overall responsibility for assigned departmental budget oversight. Including routine monitoring, adjustment and annual budget development process.
9. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout PeaceHealth to ensure that revenue and reimbursement properly report and support the services provided.
10. Manages and maintains system:wide Revenue Cycle policies, standards, processes and procedures. Provde appropriate education, training and monitoring or these policies. Formulates and makes recommendations to leadership on policies and practices relating to revenue cycle improvements.
