We are currently recruiting for an Equipment Field Service Technician focused on serving clients by installing new labeling equipment at the customer's site and repairing thermal transfer printers, print and apply applications, and semi-automated to fully automated labeling systems. Regional travel is estimated at 40% serving the Seattle, WA and Northern CA geographic area. Training on equipment is provided by the manufacturer for this role. The successful candidate for this role will possess equal parts of mechanical ability, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail. Additional responsibilities: Read and review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare for install. Train customers on the set up, operation, and troubleshooting of equipment as well as provide technical consultation and installation assistance to on-site personnel. Perform site readiness preparations, and startup monitoring of newly installed equipment to include calibrating, configuring, testing, and evaluating all assigned installations. Respond to service calls promptly to minimize downtime and inspect malfunctioning equipment to determine the nature and scope of the problem. Estimate problem resolution by costing materials, supplies, and labor.A' A' Describe symptoms, problems, and causes discovered as well as repairs and service required. Follow up with written recommendations, parts tracking, and parts utilization.A' A' Note equipment and parts warranty information, track travel time, service time, and travel expenses. Produce timely and detailed service reports. Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected returns and warranties. Build positive relationships with customer, both on-site and telephone support to include follow up service calls. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in a technical field preferredAt least one year of equipment service and repair in the field; civilian or military highly desiredCandidates with backgrounds and experience in electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and pneumatics preferred A' A' A' .
