I have a small upholstery business and have made the pictured cat furniture pieces on the side for a few years. I do not like to redo things so these units are well-constructed and made from durable materials. I welcome comment and have improved my designs with feedback from my customers. Some customers have agreed to act as references to help you discern which items will suit your feline friend’s temperament/habits and share their experiences with my products. A few comments from recent customers follow this description of products.
My cat nip has grown well this summer so with every unit I am providing a sample of the fresh stuff for your friends. Helps to attract them to the new furniture. The single perch cat post sells for $50; is made from tough, earth tone carpet material; stands a full 3ft tall and is stable. The full 3ft height allows larger cats to stretch their full length. The two tier cat post sells for $65 and seems to be a favorite of less athletic felines. Also pictured is a cat condo and play station I have made for customers requesting something more than a scratch post. Price varies according to size, etc but they start at $70. If what you see does not fit your needs, contact me with your ideas and I will work with you to design something within your budget. ************************ We were just watching the cats. The little girlie is on the top perch, and the big boy is sitting on the roof, and both scratch it up a storm!! Connor put a small blanket in the house so they can have his smell and cuddle there in the middle of night. Hopefully this will keep them from wanting to get into our rooms at night! Thanks again for a great job! Stephanie Got the cat post home and in the house and Lily loved it! She stretched all the way up and started sharpening her claws. I really like it and know she does too. Thanks, Suzy We did not even get the cat tree completely into the family room and both cats were all over it. It has already become a favorite place for them. I will work on those plans and the websites for the litter closet. I will let my buddies know about your work. Please feel free to use me as a reference. Maggie Just wanted to thank you again and let you know you can also include me on your list of references if needed! My kitties are still super in love with the post you made us –they consistently walk right past the sofa and chair they used to pick on, to scratch on your post! Yay! I’ve passed on your info to everyone I know who owns cats. thanks again shannon • Location: Hollywood

$40, My cat Zombie needs a new home! - GREY MALE TABBYposted: November 10, 2009, 03:02 PM
|
|
|
I have lived with Zombie for almost five years now and sadly, I must find him a new home.
I'm married to a jerk who doesn't like animals and we've recently moved into an apartment that doesn't even allow pets! I've tried to sneak Zombie in under the radar (after many arguments and pleading with my husband) but my landlord found out and I now risk losing my residence. Not to mention, my husband and Zombie don't get along (and it's not the kitty's fault!) Zombie loves laying under blankets and on laps. He used to sleep between my legs before my husband kicked him out of the bedroom. I had another kitty living with Zombie and I for a few years, a stray I brought home, and Zombie and her were like two peas in a pod. They cuddled and groomed each other and played and chased and fought with each other... it broke my heart to separate them, but I was able to find her a home with an old friend, so I know she's doing well. Zombie would get along with another cat, and I think he would prefer a buddy, is what I'm saying. He's a wonderful cat and I love him dearly, but he deserves to be in a home without tension and impossible restrictions. Here are some reasons why he's great! -He's super handsome! Grey striped cat with spots on his belly and bright yellow eyes! -He's totally loving! Every time I pick him up he gets completely relaxed and starts purring... -He sits on things, like a book left on a floor, a tiny scrap of paper, anything that can serve as a "platform" -He loves chasing hair thingies and gets this rediculous crazy-kitty look on his face... he skitters around in one place and lays on top of the hair thing, then runs back and forth through the house! -He loves to be brushed. He lays down on the ground and stretches out (like 3 feet long!) to get brushed from head to toe. -He TALKS! He meows at me all the time. When I cook, he sits on the kitchen floor and responds to everything I say with a "meow"... we can go on like that for a very long time. -When he sleeps, he curls up in a ball and holds onto his hind legs!!! There are a million reasons I love Zombie and if you think you might love him too (and are not a cat-killing psycho), please respond to this ad. I've attached the best pictures I have access to at the Library. Thank you, Megan and Zombie • Location: Downtown Portland

The cat post sells for $49; is made from tough, short loop beige-gray carpet material; stands a full 3ft tall ( see yardstick in picture) and is stable. The full 3ft height allows larger cats to stretch their full length. Some people attach toys to the perch. The two ter models sells for $60. Also pictured are examples of two cat condos I have made for customers requesting something more than a scratch post. One has a scratch panel and is much larger. Both condo designs comfortably fit most adult cats. Price varies according to size, etc. If what you see does not fit your needs, contact me with your ideas and I will work with you to design something within your budget. The smaller condo is about 18x15in and the perch is about 30 in from the ground. For a visual sizing of that unit, I placed our 22in tall black cat in the picture. I have sold the small condo/perch for $59. The larger house is 24x18in and it sells for $149. It has a scratch panel, weighs about 75lbs and is big enough for three cats. One customers 5 year old boy was able to fit inside the condo. Jean Marie – Beautiful Calico – recently spayed. I love this girl and you will too!
Here’s Lucy – Unusual orange cat. Most orange cats are male. Lucy has been spayed – no more kittens for her.
Mango needs to go to a quiet home. He hasn’t adjusted well to living with all our cats. Beautiful young male that was dumped by young female when she went back to college.
Three sisters came to us pregnant. All their kittens found homes and one of the sisters, but these two beauties remain. Great temperaments, beautiful eyes, lovely young spayed tabbies.
Mad Max – is BAD Max. He doesn’t want to share his home. He wants a home and yard of his own. Loves people and loves being outside. Low maintenance cat for the catless home.
“We” are a couple of cat ladies that love cats. . . and have been helping cats for many years on a shoestring budget. We charge a small rehoming fee to help us continue our rescue and spay/neuter efforts. Can’t rehome a kitty? Maybe you could help by providing: food, litter or offer to have a cat spayed/neutered or just spreading the word. (Free advertising is priceless) A quick prayer would hurt either! There is the purrfect kitty for you in Silverton whether you are looking for a kitten, teenager, adult or senior kitty! • Location: Silverton
